Public transport survey open for public opinion

By Nick Syrimi

The public transport system in Darwin has been opened up to public opinion, with Minister for Transport Peter Styles announcing last week (1 October) that a new survey would give the public an opportunity to have their say about the region's public transport.

Working towards making the system better for people across the city, this could be great news for owners of residential and commercial property in Darwin. The survey is open until 31 October, giving people plenty of time to get their say in and help change the public transport system for the better.

"The results of the survey may assist in future changes to the operation of the public transport network.  The government has introduced a number of changes recently, after the Department of Transport undertook a comprehensive risk assessment of security on the public transport network," said Mr Styles in a 1 October statement.

Now could be the perfect time to have your voice heard and influence your local community for the better. Jump online and fill out the survey today to begin working towards a public transport system in Darwin that works for you.
